The Red One MX
The original groundbreaking debut camera from RED Digital Cinema has seen it's first serious upgrade with a new latest generation sensor from RED with Mysterium X (MX)!
A proven 13.5 stops of Dynamic Range using the ARRI DR testing mechanism (the same test rating the new ARRI ALEXA at a very similar range) and an incredible noise floor sits the sensor at it's general working 'native' rating of ISO800. A changing metadata ISO combining a noise floor so greatly increased now allows R3D's to be pushed to ISO2000 with confidence and as high as ISO3200 for very usable ultra high sensitivity. One of the beauties of this new, extremely flexible ISO is how it can be manipulated on scene dependancy needs and be able to be push down to ISO160 or to ISO2000 with very clean and very sharp images. Highlight control has also been addressed in the new sensor, highlight detail and rolloff has been significantly improved. It also offers 4.5K resolution acquisition! This is 4 1/2 times the resolution over native 1080p cameras giving you more information and more detail from any other digital cinema camera. All with the power of RAW over baked in limiting codecs and with simple, easy post workflow handled from a large variety of platforms from an in the field laptop to a full post production workflow.
SSD UPGRADE!
Our RedOne MX camera is seeing another upgrade with the changeover from spinning hard drives and limiting CF cards to the all new SSD card system. By going solid state with no more limitations the RedOne MX camera has another lease of life. No more spinning hard drives attached via cables, the SSD media is loaded directly into the body of the RedOne MX giving solid and reliable performance in a lighter more convenient system.
The RedOne MX camera with these upgrades performs and delivers images and performance that are hard if not impossible to match from any other camera available and is proven by the huge list of credits at the highest level of the motion picture industry supported by some of the industries leading studios, directors and DOP's.
